Les Alzines Bell-lloc

A school for growth

Les Alzines Bell-lloc is committed to a comprehensive education that combines academic excellence, Christian values, and personalized attention for each student and family.

Who are we?

After more than half a century of supporting families, we are embarking on a new stage with the same essence

In Girona, an innovative educational proposal is emerging, with a future-oriented vision built upon the consolidated success of Les Alzines and Bell-lloc.

With over fifty years of accumulated experience, we unite tradition and innovation to offer an education of academic excellence, centered on the individual and with a Christian identity. All within a welcoming and close-knit environment, where each student and family receives personalized support.

Institutional Values:

  • Love for a job well done and education in freedom and responsibility

  • The fundamental role of parents as primary educators

  • The spirit of service and commitment to society

Educational Project

We share a common goal: the best future for your children.

Our educational project is based on the conviction that each student is unique. We support their intellectual, social, emotional, physical, and transcendent development, helping them discover their own talent and put it at the service of others.

Learning is much more than memorizing: it is imbuing knowledge with curiosity, effort, will, and autonomy. With solid habits, mastery of several languages, and a scientific and humanistic foundation. Active methodologies involve students as agents of their own learning. Families and school work together as a team, with personalized tutoring sessions and a character development plan, establishing common improvement objectives for each student.

Pillars of our project:

01
Academic Excellence

We want each student to develop their capacities to the fullest, with good study and work habits, mastery of languages…

…critical thinking and a solid mathematical and scientific foundation, within a cultural and humanistic education.

With pedagogical innovation as a transversal axis, applying active methodologies, helping each individual where needed to achieve all their learning objectives.

02
School for Families

We are a school for families because the education of children primarily rests with you, parents.

Family-school collaboration is an essential element for the comprehensive growth of our students.

For this reason, we focus on what is most essential: supporting, training, and connecting with families in their role as educators, creating spaces for reflection, growth, and sharing.

03
Personalized Education

Our educational project is based on the conviction that each student is unique.

Personalized attention is realized through preceptorship.

Each student has a preceptor who accompanies and guides them throughout the school year through personal tutoring. Additionally, families can request family tutoring, which involves periodic meetings with this preceptor to establish common improvement objectives for their child, maximizing both personal and academic development.

04
Differentiated Education in a Shared Environment

After more than half a century of offering the differentiated education model, we can guarantee that, in addition to yielding excellent academic results, it facilitates personalization.

From now on, the unification of the two centers in a single space will facilitate family logistics and ensure equal resources and opportunities to offer high-quality education for all. Some characteristic features of this educational model are:

  • Respects the developmental rhythms of boys and girls.
  • Promotes pedagogical personalization.
  • Enhances confidence and self-esteem during developmental stages.
05
Christian, Solidarity-driven, and Open to the World Identity

We educate according to Christian values, through a character formation support plan.

Our mission is for students to acquire the knowledge, habits, and virtues necessary to achieve their professional and personal goals, and to contribute to the common good by making the world a better place.

The educational project fosters these values in a respectful and supportive context, committed to coexistence, dialogue, and an open perspective on the world. The Christian formation activities and chaplaincy service offered are entrusted to Opus Dei.

06
International Mindset

International School. Our pedagogical proposal will incorporate the IB Organization Programs at all stages in the coming years.

In Baccalaureate, the option to pursue the national baccalaureate or a combination of the national and IB programs is offered, thus providing the opportunity to study at universities worldwide.

  • We are a multilingual school: Catalan, Spanish, English, French, and German. Official Certificates: Cambridge, DELF, and Goethe-Institut.
  • Dual Diploma: from 2nd year of ESO to 1st year of Baccalaureate, we offer students with a good academic record the possibility of obtaining the Dual Diploma related to the American Baccalaureate certificate.
  • Student exchange programs and stays abroad such as Erasmus+
Stages

We accompany each stage of growth from 4 months to Baccalaureate or vocational training cycles.

We offer a complete, coherent, and adapted educational pathway for each stage of student development.

We are preparing an expansion of our educational offerings with the short-term incorporation of intermediate and higher vocational training cycles, to provide various post-compulsory education alternatives at the school itself. This is a commitment to the future, aimed at families and students in Girona seeking a vocational training school with our style of comprehensive education and personalized attention.

Early Childhood Education
(0-6 years)

A natural environment that fosters the discovery of the world and helps children grow at their own learning pace with security and confidence.

English immersion from the first months of life.

Pedagogical proposals that stimulate curiosity and foster essential neural connections for their cognitive, psychomotor, and social development.

Primary Education
(6-12 years)

We seek academic excellence through personalized education; the primary stage is key for achieving basic learning, study habits, work, and autonomy, with the aim of preparing all our students for entry into ESO. We foster the comprehensive development of the student, emphasizing inquiry, curiosity, critical thinking, and an international mindset.

Compulsory Secondary Education - ESO
(12-16 years)

ESO is a key stage for students’ personal and academic maturity. We offer a comprehensive, demanding, and high-quality education, combined with a close educational relationship that fosters critical reflection, cooperation, and personal autonomy. We support each student and their family with personalized monitoring to promote their growth and success. We work to ensure our students become autonomous, creative, and supportive individuals, prepared to confidently face the challenges of a global and constantly changing world.

Baccalaureate
(16-18 years)

Baccalaureate represents a decisive moment in our students’ intellectual and human development. We offer broad and personalized pathways that combine thorough academic preparation with personalized guidance towards university studies. Students can pursue the International Baccalaureate (IB) alongside the national one, gaining a globally recognized academic education. It is a stage to deepen knowledge and project oneself towards the future with a desire to grow and become real agents of change in society.

Facilities

A great educational space

In a natural and spacious environment ideal for learning, play, and sports

The school boasts an environment of over 100,000 m² divided into two campuses. The campus currently located at Bell-lloc del Pla offers education from early childhood to baccalaureate within an area of over 70,000 m². The campus in Palau, where Les Alzines was previously located, will maintain its early childhood education stage and is planned to adapt its classrooms to expand our educational offerings with intermediate and higher vocational training cycles.

Located in a privileged natural setting in Girona, Les Alzines Bell-lloc is a space that inspires tranquility, respect for nature, and facilitates coexistence. We have a privileged natural environment with landscaped areas and forests, a garden, a nature classroom, and playgrounds adapted for each stage.

We believe that space educates: that’s why we meticulously care for every detail, from classrooms to laboratories, libraries, sports areas like the multi-sport hall or the swimming pool, the atelier, the music room, STEAM workshops, and spaces for reflection and prayer, such as the oratory.
